Join Mandy to design and make your own jewellery from aluminium. You'll learn how to colour the pre-anodised aluminium then cut and shape it to create a piece of beautiful jewellery.
No prior experience is necessary and all materials and equipment will be provided, however, if you have previous experience in jewellery making, you may benefit from bringing along your toolbox.
You may also like to bring along any sketches or images of designs you would like to make.

'Pewter Jewellery' at Model House Craft and Design Centre, Llantrisant

An opportunity to learn the ancient technique of hand gravity casting. No experience is necessary - total beginners are able to produce professional looking items. Students will design and carve their own moulds into which the tutor pours the molten pewter. The cast pieces are then finished into key rings, brooches, necklaces, fridge magnets or small mobiles. The morning session will be spent using plaster as a mould and in the afternoon students can either make further moulds in plaster or try casting into cuttlefish which produces beautiful textures.
